Louise is a Clinical Nurse Consultant of Stomal Therapy and Wound Management at QE II Jubilee Hospital, Brisbane.
She has over 25 years of colorectal nursing clinical experience, the past 18 years have been in the specialisation of Stomal Therapy and Wound Management.
She has presented to peers domestically, nationally and internationally on topics such as stoma and skin irritation, education of the new ostomate and 'Great Comebacks' - a patient focused advocate program.
She has a passion to deliver the highest standards of quality, evidence-based advanced nursing care with a patient centered approach. She develops great communication skills allowing the fostering of strong relationships and collaboration with patients, carers and the multidisciplinary team to ensure best outcomes for patients.
Louise is the Immediate Past President, Australian Association of Stomal Therapy Nurses National Committee 2023-2025
